- During my pregnancy: mutli organ system illnesses HELLP Syndrome and Preeclampsia which caused impending liver failure due to severe inflammation, kidney impairment ; hemolytic anemia and thrombocytopenia, and super imposed hypertension that effected my central nervous system causing hyper reflexes and seizures.
Three days post partum a Code Blue: pneumonia, acute respiratory distress syndrome, seizures~ Eclampsia/hypertensive crisis.
*Patients with Lupus AND APS are at higher risk for developing these two life threatening pregnancy conditions.
